Follow steps for install, which will require your department IT administrator to install using an admin login/pw, so contact them for them to finish the install process. When it comes to investigating an issue, answering a question or simply making sense of something, we often look to information to help us get there, and it’s rare that numeric or linear data will give you the full picture on its own.In blue bar at left, click Product Info.To update, you'll need to follow these steps: If you have NVivo on your own office GSU-owned computer and/or your department IT has privileges to manually install software on departmental lab computers: Until Campus IT gets a package done, there's nothing we can do about this. IMPORTANT: The NVivo update window states that "Project files created in release 1.6 are NOT BACKWARDS-COMPATIBLE with any earlier versions of NVivo, including releases 1.0–1.5" - in other words, currently if a GSU user has updated to the 1.6.1 version on their own personal computer, they cannot then come to a library or lab computer and open their 1.6.1 file because it's not backward compatible to the 1.5 version currently installed on library and lab computers. A ticket has been submitted to Campus IT to make a new package to push the upgrade to library and lab computers, but it was unsuccessful and there is no ETA right now as to when they will get the package corrected. NVivo is prompting users to install a patch/upgrade that requires admin privileges for GSU-owned computers, including all library and lab computers and personal office computers. Click NVivo 12 dropdown in top left corner of desktop screen > click Licensing > click Replace License.
